BOZEMAN -- Helena Capital’s Noah Strizich and Great Falls CMR’s Lindsay Martinez captured singles titles Saturday at the State AA tennis tournament at the MSU tennis complex.

In doubles, Billings Senior’s Willy Schuman-Kline and Jack Wilgus placed second behind Bozeman’s Andrew Hance and Robbie Pike. Shophie Allen and Margot Shea of Bozeman won the girls doubles title.

Bozeman swept the team championships. The Hawks’ boys finished with 24 points, seven ahead of second-place Capital. Their girls ran away with the title with 47 points.

Schuman-Kline and Wilgus advanced to the boys doubles title match with a 7-5, 7-6 (3) win over Bozeman’s Oliver Carr and Colton Litle, but fell to Hance and Pike 6-0, 6-1 in the final.

Allen and Shea defeated Missoula Sentinel’s Jenna Donovan and Katie Veteto 7-5, 6-3 for the girls doubles title. The Senior tandem of Abby Coffee and Danie Nichols placed fourth. Billings West’s Ricquel Ramsbottom finished in fourth place in girls singles.

Strizich defeated Helena’s Layne Ryerson 6-1, 6-3 for the boys singles crown. Strizich defeated West’s Joe Sawatzke 7-5, 7-5 in the semifinals.

Martinez beat Bozeman’s Zoe Lindgren 6-0, 6-2 for the girls singles title.
