After smashing the Billings West school pole vault record a number of times throughout this past season, Katrina Terry is taking her talents to Eastern Washington.

The Golden Bear graduate just recently signed a letter of intent to pole vault for the Eagles this upcoming fall in Cheney, Washington. Terry was the Class AA girls pole vaulting champion in May.

Terry broke the school pole vaulting record four times this past year for West, which was previously 11-foot-6. She broke the record in her first meet of the year at 11-7, then vaulted 11-8 in her second meet. She vaulted 11-9 at the Great Falls Optimist Club Invite in April before vaulting 12-6 at the Eastern AA Divisional, which broke the divisional record.

Terry won state with a vault of 11-9 in Butte. Terry was also the third leg of West's 400-relay team that set the all-class record at state with a time of 48.18 seconds.
