Forsyth standout wrestler Taylor French will be attending the United States Naval Academy next year.

French will be joining the wrestling team and is projected to wrestle at 125 pounds said coach Scott Weber.

This season, French is 37-2 with 27 pins and 152 takedowns and is Class B-C's top-ranked wrestler at 135. He owns Forsyth's career pins record with 115 and takedowns record with 486. His career won-loss record is 162-12.

French is a two-time state B-C champion and one-time runner-up. He was first at state at 130 as a junior and 125 as a sophomore. As a freshman, French was second in the state at 105.

This season, French is a captain for the two-time defending state champion Dogies.
