New North Dakota State University assistant wrestling coach Derek St. John will be a counselor at the Osos Wrestling Camp Monday through Wednesday at Orchard Elementary School.

The other camp counselors are former Iowa two-time NCAA champion and three-time All-American Matt McDonough and Mike Evans, who was a 174-pound junior for the Hawkeyes last season. McDonough is a 2013 Iowa graduate. Evans is a two-time NCAA All-American, placing sixth last season. 

St. John was the 2013 NCAA champion at 157 pounds and became the 18th four-time All-American in Iowa history in 2014. He placed fourth at the NCAA Championships as a freshman, second as a sophomore, first as a junior and fifth as a senior. The Parnell, Iowa, native concluded his college career with a record of 106-17.

In the latest USA Wrestling men's freestyle rankings, McDonough, of Iowa City, Iowa, was ranked fourth at 134 pounds. McDonough won a bronze medal earlier this month at the University World Championships in Pecs, Hungary, wrestling at 125.5 pounds.

The camp director is Billings West coach Jeremy Hernandez. West assistants Bryce Bochy and Corey Willis will be part of the camp staff. The camp begins at 9 a.m. daily, will break for lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m. and resume until 3:30 p.m.

The cost is $100 or $130 for wrestlers needing host families.
