While in Germany, the team will wrestle a series of Greco-Roman and freestyle matches against German clubs and also wrestle a folkstyle match against a team from a U.S. military base. A training camp will be held in Billings July 20-22 before Team Montana departs.
While there, the team will stop at the Mercedes-Benz plant, see where cuckoo clocks are made, visit castles and cathedrals, take a river trip, observe the site of the Dachau concentration camp, visit Roman ruins, tour the Olympic Park in Munich, and go to a teddy bear factory.
"The focus of the trip is the cultural-exchange," Elser said. "The wrestling is the door that opens up the opportunity for us to experience the cultural-exchange."
