MILES CITY — The 60th Annual Cowboy Invitational high school wrestling meet is Friday and Saturday here. 

This year features a full, 32-team field.  On Friday, wrestling begins at 9 a.m. and will be continuous throughout the day. The last session begins at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, wrestling begins at 9:30 a.m. with the finals set to begin at 2 p.m.

Teams entered this year are: Alexander, N.D., Baker, Billings Central, Billings Senior, Billings Skyview, Billings West, Bowman (N.D.), Broadus, Campbell County (Wyo.), Butte Central, Circle, Cody (Wyo.), Colstrip, Dickinson (N.D.), Forsyth, Glasgow, Glendive, Hardin, Hardin JV, Hettinger-Scranton (N.D.), Huntley Project, Laurel, Livingston, Mandan (N.D.), Miles City, Moorcroft (Wyo.), Sheridan (Wyo.), Shepherd, Sidney, Thunder Basin (Wyo.), Worland (Wyo.). 

Colstrip has captured the past two Cowboy Invite titles. According to the program, Hettinger-Scranton junior Kyle Burwick (126 pounds) is a three-time Cowboy champion and will be chasing his fourth title to join six other former four-time champs in Luke Weber, Forsyth, 2013-16; Luke Zeiger, Glasgow, 2009-12; Tyler Cox, Gillette, 2006-09; Jesse Obergfell, Sidney, 2004-07; Ryan Hecker, Sidney, 2003-06 and Chris Nedens, Hardin, 1998-01. Burwick has won three North Dakota state titles. He wrestled at the Cowboy as an eighth grader. There are believed to be no five-time Cowboy champions. 

Forsyth brothers Michael Weber and Nathan Weber each will be aiming for their third title.

Over the years, Miles City has captured 12 Class AA and A Cowboy titles, while Gillette (Campbell County) has 10. Sheridan (Wyo.) and Sidney both have eight and Havre 6. For Class B-C team championships at the Cowboy, Glasgow leads the field with 13, Broadus has nine, Baker and Forsyth each have eight and Huntley Project 6.
