SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Pitcher Kinzy Koch tossed a no-hitter in an 11-0 four-inning win over Nunaka Valley, Alaska, on Wednesday night, leading the Boulder Arrowhead-Big Sky Little League 11-12 girls softball team into bracket play of the West Regional.

The Billings team finished pool play with a 3-1 record, putting them second behind Gig Harbor, Washington. BA-BS will play Chico, Calif. (4-0) on Thursday at 6 p.m. Mountain Time.

Against Alaska, Koch struck out six and BA-BS took advantage of eight errors to record the win by the mercy rule.

Emma Carrier, Cassidy Venner and Tiahna Vladic each drove in two runs. Lauren Gordon had a double and a triple and also drove in a run. Only one of the 11 runs scored by BA-BS was earned.

BA-BS started the tournament with a 13-2 win over Lewiston, Idaho. Gig Harbor then defeated BA-BS 6-3 before the Billings girls bounced back with a come-from-behind win over Pendleton, Ore., 9-8 on Tuesday. BA-BS rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to earn the win.

Gordon and Jensen Keller each had three RBIs in the win over Oregon.
