The Billings Aquatic Club swim team finished second in both the boys and girls team standings in the Montana State Long Course Championships earlier this month in Bozeman.
The 47 BAC swimmers who competed in the meet were led by Matt Wehr, who won six individual events and swam on three winning relay teams in the boys 15-18 age division.
Wehr won the 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly, 200 IM, 400 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
Also in the boys 15-18 division, Paul Allen won the 100 breaststroke and 400 IM; Pierce Oja won the 50 breaststroke; Wehr, Allen, Chris Luterbach and Brayden Marchant won the 400 freestyle relay; Wehr, Oja, Luterbach and Magnus Johnson won the 200 medley relay; and Wehr, Luterbach, Allen and Lane Muskett won the 200 freestyle relay.
In the 11-12 girls division, Madeline Sandstead won the 50 and 100 backstroke races, Cailin Fiddler won the 400 freestyle, and Haddy Slade won the 200 freestyle. Fiddler, Slade, Sandstead and Julia Peterson won the 200 freestyle relay, and Fiddler, Slade, Sandstead and Rylee O’Neil won the 200 medley relay.
In the 11-12 boys division, Michael Van Keuren, Josh Allen, Brayden Arnold and Ben Stiles won the 200 freestyle relay.
In the 13-14 boys division, Conner Funke won the 200 freestyle, 400 IM, 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke, while Ethan Harder won the 400 freestyle.
In the girls 15-18 division, Jenna Marsh won the 50 backstroke, 50 butterfly and 50 freestyle and Alyssa Boese won the 100 freestyle and 200 IM. Sophie Malin, Erin Carroll, Shailee Luoma and Linnaya Luoma won the 400 freestyle relay.
