Four events kick off the 29th Annual Big Sky State Games Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Billings.
Dance stage events, ballroom dance, figure skating and ice hockey will be held. The dance stage events competition will be held at the Skyview High School Theatre beginning at 6 p.m. Friday and at 9 a.m. Saturday. Ballroom dance will also take place at Skyview on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. in the gymnasium. Figure skating begins at 7 a.m. on Saturday at Centennial Ice Arena, followed by ice hockey at 1 p.m. Ice hockey continues on Sunday, at 7:30 a.m. Brackets are available at www.bigskygames.org.
The public is welcome to attend. Daily admission at dance is $5 for adults and $2 for students ages 7-18. Children six-and-under are admitted free of charge.
Finals in the other sports of the BSSG are July 18-20 in Billings. The exceptions are billiards, which takes place on June 30, jumping and dressage on July 12-13, scholastic volleyball finals on July 12, and summer biathlon and mountain bike biathlon on July 27 in Bozeman. Various shooting events will also take place on other dates.
