Billings-based Granite Promotions will be hosting an exhibition professional boxing card Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Convention Center.
There will be five matches contested. Billings boxer Anthony Sullivan, a former star in Club Boxing, will headline the main event against an opponent to be announced. Sullivan is 1-1 as a pro. The match will be a 180-pound, six-round affair.
The co-main event pits Billings' Daniel Gonzalez (9-32-2) against Chris Asher (2-5-2) of Bozeman in a 154-pound four-round contest.
At 147 pounds and four rounds, Sean Quinnett (0-2) of Spokane, Wash., is set to fight Justice Grant (debut) of Seattle. Helena's Duran Caferro (10-1) will box at 154 or 160 pounds against an opponent to be announced. Promoters were still putting together the fifth bout.
A highlight of the evening will be celebrity guest appearances by professional boxers Austin Trout and Chauncy Welliver.
Trout and Welliver will also sign autographs at weigh-ins at Hudson's, located at 2658 Grand Ave., Friday from 7-11 p.m., said Oli Rodriguez, owner of Granite Promotions.
"I want to bring big-name boxing to Billings and this event will be step one in that direction," Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez added that he is "extremely excited to bring such a big name to Billings," in referencing Trout. Trout is currently training for a bout against Daniel Dawson (26-3-1) in late August.
Trout, of Las Cruces, N.M., is 26-2 as a pro and won a unanimous decision against Miguel Cotto in December 2012. Welliver, of Spokane, has compiled a 55-8-5 mark as a heavyweight.
Former Montana Olympic boxer Todd Foster, who went 41-4-1 as a professional, will be the referee.
Tickets are available at www.granitepromotions.com for $20 general admission and $40 VIP. Tables are available by reservation. Tickets at the door, which will open at 5 p.m., are an extra $5.
