Golfers Brandon McIver of Billings and Tom Swanson of Missoula will be teeing off on Monday at the 114th U.S. Amateur Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club's Highlands Course in John's Creek, Ga.
McIver, who competes for the University of Oregon, and Swanson, who is playing for the University of Michigan, are part of a 312-player field.
The first two days will consist of 18 holes of stroke play. After that, the field will be cut to the low 64 scorers for six rounds of match play.
There will be a 36-hole championship match on Sunday, Aug. 17.
McIver is set to tee off at 6:05 a.m. (MDT) on Monday off the No. 1 tee at Highlands. He will go off No. 10 on the Riverside Course at 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Swanson's tee times are 12:35 p.m. on Monday (Highlands No. 1) and 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday (Riverside No. 10).
McIver, who recently won his second straight Montana State Amateur championship, will be one of four University of Oregon golfers competing in the U.S. Amateur.
The 20-year-old is also one of seven qualifiers who also competed in the U.S. Open in June at Pinehurst, N.C.
