Todd, Zadick, Erickson qualified for Olympic Trials

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Montana wrestlers Tyrel Todd, Mike Zadick and Toby Erickson have all qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials to be held here Saturday and Sunday.

Both Todd and Zadick will be competing in freestyle wrestling. Todd, a native of Bozeman competing with the Cliff Keen Wrestling Club based out of Ann Arbor, Mich., and the New York AC, has qualified at 185 pounds. Zadick, a four-time state AA champion from Great Falls and current assistant coach at Iowa, is slated to compete at 132 pounds.

Erickson, of Helena, has qualified at 264.5 pounds in Greco-Roman. Erickson is currently competing with the U.S. Olympic Education Center at Northern Michigan.

Qualifying from the University of Wyoming in freestyle were Michael Martinez (121) and Joe LeBlanc (185). Fellow Cowboy Tyler Cox (121) will be competing in Greco-Roman. UW assistant coach Chris Pendleton (211.5) qualified in freestyle.
