RED LODGE -- A total of 143 racers competed in the Youth Ski League slalom event hosted by the Silver Run Ski Education Foundation last weekend at Red Lodge Mountain.

Curtis Williams of the Missoula was the boys overall winner both days, clocking a combined two-run time of 1:43.35 on Saturday and 1:54.05 on Sunday. On Saturday, Cade Quigley of the Black Hills Ski Team was second and Wesley Robbins of Big Sky was third. On Sunday, Jacob Drake of Bridger Bowl was second and Cooper Mann of Silver Run was third.

Alexa Coyle of Big Sky was the girls winner both days, turning in a combined time of 1:42.60 on Saturday and 1:47.30 on Sunday. On Saturday, Megan Pettit and Julia Matelich of Bridger Bowl finished second and third. On Sunday, Erin Petitt was second and Matelich was third.

Top finishers for Silver Run were Sophia Nyquist finishing 9th overall among girls as a 9-year-old. For the Silver Run boys, Cooper Mann was 6th overall, Tristan Hoffman was 9th and Erik Schmidt 13th.
