LAS VEGAS — Jess Lockwood tightened his grip on his lead for the Built Ford Tough Series standings, winning his third consecutive round at the Professional Bull Riders World Finals on Friday night.

The 20-year old from Volborg earned $35,000 and 300 BFTS points with 90.25 points aboard More Big Bucks. It was his second 90-point ride of the PBR World Finals at T-Mobile Arena.

The event continues through Sunday. The year-end champion receives a $1 million bonus, while the Finals average champion earns another $250,000.

Lockwood has already won $105,000 in Las Vegas. Lockwood led the first five weeks of the season before suffering a torn groin. He regained the lead on Thursday night.

Matt Triplett of Columbia Falls took a no score for a third straight round. Billings native Mike Lee got on board with an 87-point ride.
