Cross country

The 9th annual Yellowstone Elementary School Cross Country Meet is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Pioneer Park. The even features six one-mile races, starting with 3rd graders, then 4th, then 5th. Girls will run first in each category, followed by the boys. The meet is free to participants registered by Sept. 28, and $10 for entries received between Sept. 29 and Oct. 3. There is no race-day registration. Race number pickup is Monday, Oct. 3, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Mansfield Health Education Center at St. Vincent Healthcare. Out-of-town runners can pick up their number on race day at the southeast corner of Pioneer Park from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
