GREAT FALLS - University of Great Falls softball coach Gary Ehnes has announced the signing of two outfielders.

Amanda Morris of Great Falls Russell and Samantha Wood of Hamilton will join the Argos for the 2009-10 school year.

Morris helped the Rustlers win a state championship in 2007 and played the past two seasons at Dawson Community College in Glendive.

Wood, a left-handed hitter, was one of her team's leading hitters and earned academic all-state honors. She faces minor knee surgery and Ehnes said she could redshirt as a freshman.
