INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed bids for construction of the following project(s) will be received by the Montana Department of Transportation, Construction Contracting Bureau, Room 101, 2701 Prospect, Helena, Montana until 9:00 a.m. on July 11, 2019. All bids being publicly opened, reviewed for correctness, and then publicly read in the Department's auditorium. 101 BAD ROUTE INTERCHANGE - NE IM 94-6(60)193 Grade, gravel, pms, overlay seal & cover, drainage, guardrail, pavement markings, signing, electrical and bridge deck work on the Bad Route Interchange-NE project in Dawson County. The 6.5 mile project is located on Interstate 94 between the towns of Fallon and Glendive starting at the Bad Route Creek Int (RP 192.6) and ending near the Cracker Box Int (RP 199.2). 102 I-94 BRIDGE DECK - 2 M W FORSYTH NHPB 94-3(84)91 Bridge deck replacement on two existing 4-span bridges over Smith Creek and Smith Creek Road, cold milling, PMS, guardrail replacement, curbing and seeding/revegetation on the I-94 Bridge Deck - 2 Miles West of Forsyth project in Rosebud County. The project is located approximately two miles west of Forsyth on I-94 between RP 92.1 and RP 92.5. 103 BLUE CREEK ROAD - BILLINGS SOUTH FRONTAGE ROAD-BILLINGS GUARDRAIL - SOUTH OF BILLINGS UPP-STPB 1033(5) UPP 1011(20) STPS 416-1(16)11 UPP-STPB 1033(5) - Cold milling, PMS overlay, rumble strips, seal & cover, pavement markings, guardrail, signing and bridge deck repair on the Blue Creek Road - Billings project located in Yellowstone County. The project begins at RP 0.1 on South Billings Blvd (U-1033) and extends approximately 3.2 miles southeast along Blue Creek Road to RP 2.6. UPP 1011(20) - Cold milling, PMS overlay, seal & cover, pavement markings, guardrail, signing and bridge deck repair on the South Frontage Road-Billings project located in Yellowstone County. The project is located southwest of Billings beginning at the intersection with Mullowney Lane (RP 0.0) to the intersection of Wise Lane and Shiloh Road (RP 3.75). STPS 416-1(16)11 - PMS shoulder widening and guardrail on the Guardrail-South of Billings project located in Yellowstone County and entirely within the Crow Indian Reservation. The project is located on Secondary 416 beginning at RP 10.5 and extends approximately 2.8 miles east along Blue Creek Road to RP 13.3, intersecting with Secondary 418 (Pryor Creek Road). MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE (TRIBAL) A pre-bid conference will be held at the following time and location: Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Billings District Conference Room 424 Morey Street, Billings, MT 59101 The pre-bid conference will have a formal sign-in process that will become the official record of attendance for the purposes of determining eligible bidders. Attendance at this conference is mandatory for any Contractor to submit a bid as a prime bidder. Contractors who bid as a prime bidder on this project must have at least one full time, permanent employee present. No proxy representatives, such as subcontractors or consultants, meet this requirement. In the event a prime bidder tenders a bid but did not attend the pre-bid conference, the bid will be returned unopened. Representatives of the Department will be present to describe the project and answer questions. Representatives of the Crow Tribe will be invited to the pre-bid conference. The pre-bid conference is for information only. The Department is not bound by any statement or representation concerning conditions or description of the work given by Department employees or agents and the pre-bid conference. The answers to any questions raised are non-binding oral explanations or instructions, and relying on them is solely at the Bidder's risk. The project begins at RP 184.1 and extends approximately 2 miles northeast along Interstate Route 94 to RP 186.1 near the Fallon Interchange. 105 BECRAFT LANE SIDEWALK - LOCKWOOD TA 1099(125) Installation of new sidewalk on the Becraft Lane Sidewalk-Lockwood project located within Lockwood in Yellowstone County. Work includes: gravel, PMS overlay, drainage, fencing, curb/gutter, irrigation and singing. The project begins at the intersection with Old Hardin Road and continues east along Becraft Lane to the intersection with Noblewood Drive. 106 BOOTLEGGER TRAIL REPAIR ER 225-4(2)53 Grading, gravel and installation of 3 culverts to repair damaged roadway on the Bootlegger Trail Repair project in Toole County. The project is located approximately 33 miles east of Conrad on Secondary 225 (Bootlegger Trail) between RP 52.6 and 52.8, 1.5 miles south of the intersection with St. Olaf Church Road. The section, township and range is in S34,35, T29N and R3E. 107 US-2 REPAIR - W OF HAVRE ER 1-6(129)376 Slide and erosion repair on the US-2 Repair - W of Havre project in Hill County. The project is located on US 2/National Hwy 1, west of Havre between RP 375.7 and RP 376.5. 108 BIKE/PED PATH II HWY 93 - KALISPELL TA 6799(50) Construct new shared use path on the Bike/Ped Path II Hwy 93-Kalispell project located in Kalispell in Flathead County. The project is located on the west side of Highway 93 near the Kalispell Sports Complex beginning at RP 114.9 and extending north to RP 115.1. Work includes: gravel, PMS overlay, pedestrian rail and signing. 109 PVMS VEHICLE CERT SITE - HELENA STPX STWD(702) Mill and fill three 12 foot wide lanes for calibrating certification vehicles to a specified standard for testing purposes. The project is located at the Rocky Mountain Emergency Services site on the Helena Airport property in Lewis and Clark County. 110 SF 169 LOLO E MSLA SFTY IMPRV HSIP STWD(533) Signing, rumble strips, delineation, electrical and pavement markings on the SF 169 Lolo E Missoula Safety Improvement project in Missoula County. Site 2 - Old US Hwy 87 (X-81016), approximately 20 miles southeast of Billings between RP 18.9 and RP 26.2. HSIP STWD(435) - Signing and delineation on the SF 159 S-419 S-421 Safety Improvements project in Stillwater County. Site 1 - Secondary 419 beginning 3 miles south of Absarokee at the Junction with State Route 78 between RP 0.0 and RP 20.0. Site 2 - Secondary 421 southeast of Columbus between RP 0.5 and RP 4.35. HSIP STWD(455) - Signing and delineation on the SF 159 Billings District Signing Delineation project in Musselshell, Petroleum, Fergus and Treasure Counties. Site 1 - MT 87 (N-16), south of Roundup near Klein between RP 43.5 and RP 47.8. Site 2 - MT 200 (N-57), 7 miles west of Mosby between RP 151.4 and 152.0. Site 3 - MT 81 (P-81), 3 miles west of Denton between RP 10.0 and RP 11.0. Site 4 - Secondary 311, 8 miles southwest of Hysham between RP 9.7 and RP 10.1.
