Open House Meeting Public Discussion of Feasibility Study for 27th Street Railroad Crossing The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is conducting an open house to discuss a feasibility study to determine short-term and long-term solutions for the existing at-grade railroad crossing on 27th Street in downtown Billings. The open house will be held in Billings on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Billings Public Library Community Room (510 N. Broadway). After a presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m., the public is invited to visit project displays, ask questions and provide comments on the project. Project team members will be available to discuss the project. The feasibility study will consider traffic operational and engineering analysis, safety, railroad coordination, bicycle/pedestrian facilities, Americans With Disabilities Act needs, environmental issues, geometric considerations, right-of-way, utilities, stakeholder input, and impacts to adjacent buildings and businesses. MDT will make reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities who wish to participate in this public meeting.
