The Billings Jobs Service Employers’ Committee recently announced that Phillips 66 and Bauer & Clausen Optometry have each been recognized as an Employer of Choice. The EOC program was started by the Montana State Employers Council to recognize organizations throughout the state of Montana that work to engage their employees and serve their community. The Billings JSEC will visit the two EOC businesses and present them with plaques to honor their achievement.
The Billings JSEC chose Phillips 66 and Bauer & Clausen Optometry from among nine nominations from the five counties served by the Billings Job Service. The nomination process allows the organization to describe their benefits, leadership and workplace culture, methods of employee development, and level of community orientation.
The nominations are also submitted to a state-wide EOC program, hosted by the Montana State Employers’ Council, an industry-driven organization which supports the Montana Department of Labor and Industry, as well as all of the JSECs throughout the state. The state-level results are still under consideration
Funds for the program are raised through events such as the Jobs Jamboree and professional development opportunities hosted by the Billings JSEC for the local business community.
