None of what we have accomplished here at the Depot would be possible without our community coming by our side,” Mercer said. “Today we have a financially sustainable, thriving place where our community can gather and make memories together.”

Directing operations at The Depot “has never been a job for me,” she said. “It truly is a passion to help people remember why keeping our history alive is important.”

She said she plans to begin her own job search this week, adding she’s “excited to work with the next person who will continue to ingrain The Depot into the hearts of our residents and generations to come.”
