Seminar for women-owned businesses Aug. 6-7

A workshop designed to help female business owners become certified as a women-owned business for federal contracting takes place Aug. 6-7 in Billings.

The Montana Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Prospera Business Network - Montana Women’s Business Center, Montana Department of Transportation DBE Program and Lake County Community Development Corp. will present the workshop, titled, “Obtaining Your Women-Owned Small Business Status for Federal Government Contracting.”

Attendees will receive hands-on assistance with the SBA WOSB self-certification and learn how the WOSB status can best position a women-owned business for success.

 The three-hour WOSB certification workshop will be offered on Aug. 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. and again on Aug. 7 from 8:30 to11:30 a.m., at MSU-B Campus, in Billings.
