Dana Pulis is discovering the heart of downtown Billings is the perfect place for her fast-moving marketing agency.
Pulis moved Kinetic Creative Communications and Marketing in December from the third floor of the Rex on Montana Avenue to 117 N. Broadway, next to Bin 119.
“We love the street, the energy that’s here. People are always up the street and moving, and we wanted to be in the heartbeat of downtown,” Pulis said.
A former Billings Gazette freelance writer, Pulis, 45, started the business in 2006, and now has nine employees. Kinetic contracts with medium and larger-sized businesses for public relations, marketing and other communications services.
Kinetic has grown with the area, and Pulis said internal communications has become a larger piece of the business. With the robust labor market, employers suddenly find themselves struggling to attract and retain quality workers, she said.
“Employees are at a premium. The companies that treat them well and communicate with them well are the ones who keep them,” Pulis said.
