Colleen Baker is shining a bigger light on her slimmed-down pharmacy.
Her business, Morgan Creek Compounding Pharmacy, moved into a smaller, more visible spot at 71 25th St. W. in mid-May. She spent the past two years at 2800 Central Ave. Suite A, which was four blocks away but more hidden, she said.
“This is a little bit better location. There’s lots of foot traffic and car traffic,” Baker, 42, said.
Baker started the business about two years ago after previously working as a pharmacist in a big-box store. She said she’d grown weary of the high-volume, high-stress atmosphere, so she targeted Morgan Creek in a narrower focus.
The bulk of the business is natural hormones, such as bio-identical hormones for women and androgel for men, she said. She also sells creams and other medicine for cats and dogs.
“This is a unique niche,” she said.
Morgan Creek is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays.
