Ken Fichtner of Fichtner Chevrolet in Laurel is the new president of the Montana Auto Dealers Association. He grew up in the automobile business. His grandfather, Theodore Fichtner, became a Chevrolet dealer in 1952. His father, Leonard Fichtner, became a Chevrolet dealer in 1961 and is still active in the dealership. Ken became a dealer in 2005. He is serving on the Montana Auto Dealers Association Board of Directors and the Insurance Trust. The association was founded in 1930 to represent Montana automobile, truck, recreational vehicle and motor sports dealerships. Services to their members include comprehensive group health/life insurance, vehicle service contracts, employee benefit plans, workers' compensation insurance, liability insurance, forms, advertising specialties, and credit card authorization services. The association also offers legal services and legislative action on behalf of their automotive industry.
