Mackenzie Holmberg recently joined the Northern International Livestock Exposition (NILE) as the director of communication and equine programs department head.

Holmberg received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications with minors in public relations and farm and ranch management at the University of Wyoming.

In her new role, Holmberg handles the horse sales and futurities, the ranch rodeo, and raffle filly among other tasks. She leads the Stetsons and Stilettos annual fundraiser and works on various other graphic design and website projects.

Holmberg grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where she was an active 4-H member, showing both horses and market lambs. Throughout high school and college, she also worked as an assistant trainer for reined cow horse trainer Jason Patrick. During her time at the University of Wyoming, she was an intern at the National Western Stock Show and the College National Finals Rodeo. She also served as an ag ambassador, recruiting for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
