The Human Resources Development Council board of trustees has named Denise Jordan as the new CEO. Jordan is entrusted by a supportive board and a devoted staff to lead the agency in carrying forth its mission to empower individuals in need through mobilizing and developing community resources by creating opportunities for success in Big Horn, Carbon, Stillwater, Sweet Grass and Yellowstone counties.
Jordan joined HRDC in October 1991 as a low-income energy assistance temporary worker and advanced to full-time employment as a micro-business loan officer in 1992. In 2000, Jordan was recognized by the Montana Department of Commerce and Gov. Marc Racicot with an appointment to the Micro-Business Advisory Council. Jordan was instrumental in starting the Families Saving for Tomorrow Individual Development Account (IDA) program at HRDC and managed the program from 2001 until her promotion in 2006 to director of budget and contacts. More recently, Jordan was appointed by the Board of Trustees as the acting CEO in May of 2011.
Jordan attended the University of South Dakota, where she earned her bachelor's of science degree in business administration, is a certified economic development professional and has completed various trainings in financial and portfolio management.
