Kelly McCoy, Montana State University Billings City College faculty member, has been invited to be a founding member on the University Advisory Council Task Force for the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
The main purpose of the task force will be to identify and develop direction and guidance for educational advisory groups, as well as expand on general roles and responsibilities of such groups.
Through his appointment, McCoy can shape the CPSE task force with a select team that represent fire service, accrediting bodies, talent development, education, and technology and publications. These groups reflect industries that have a stake in the education of fire and emergency professionals.
CPSE is a nonprofit corporation that works with progressive fire and emergency service agencies and active fire professionals. The international, technical organization’s mission is to continue the quality improvement process of accreditation, credentialing and education for fire and emergency professionals.
