The Ziggy’s store at 1760 Monad Road will be open for about three more months as the remaining inventory is liquidated, owner Jack Ziegler said last week.
Ziegler held a sale last week aimed at regular customers, but he expects to continue selling at discount until all merchandise is gone.
He added that he’s looking to lease or sell the 70,000-square-foot building, which Yellowstone County appraisers value at $6.4 million. (My story last week mistakenly put the figure at $1.7 million, which is the value of the land without the building.)

Jack Ziegler launched the business 46 years ago in Bozeman as Zig’s Building Material. In 1988, he bought the Billings business from his ailing father, Ernie Ziegler.
Jack Ziegler moved to his current spot in 1998.
Eight other Ziggy’s stores operate in South Dakota, Idaho and Washington. They are owned by Jack Ziegler’s relatives and not directly tied to the Billings business, though the logos and merchandise are similar.
