Lone Piñon will play at three places in downtown Buffalo-a half an hour in each place. They will start at Up in Smoke on Main Street, then travel to Unwind which is two buildings behind Margo's Pottery and Fine Crafts on the North Side of Clear Creek, and then end up at the Occidental Saloon back on Main Street. They play the music of northern New Mexico and the American Southwest. The band is traveling from Albuquerque and Santa Fe to spend a few days playing for various events in Buffalo and meeting with students in Buffalo schools. In 2019, Lone Piñon recorded a concert and oral history of New Mexican and Mexican music for the Library of Congress. They are recipients of the American Folklife Center's Parson Award for traditional music.
