Lone Piñon will teach a workshop to musicians, dancers and singers of all levels. If you're interested in the culture of northern New Mexico and the American Southwest and would like to try some traditional dances or songs, you are welcome.  And if you play or are learning any instrument, you are welcome to come with your instrument and try this workshop.  The band members taught last summer at the Festival of American Fiddletunes in Port Townsend, Washington, and have a lot of knowledge about the music of the Southwest.   They traveling from Albuquerque and Santa Fe to spend a few days playing for events in Buffalo.  In 2019, Lone Piñon recorded a concert and oral history of New Mexican and Mexican music for the Library of Congress.  They are recipients of the American Folklife Center's Parson Award for traditional music. If you wish to participate in this workshop, please call David Romtvedt at 307-217-2812 to RSVP.
