Billings author Russell Rowland will be featured in a new interview series, People and Perspectives, at the Billings Public Library.

The series kicks off on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in the community room with Rowland, who is the author of "56 Counties."

The series highlights leaders in the fields of education, politics, society, media, business, medicine and culture.

Rowland said he plans to talk about his podcast and his writing life.

"My new novel is called 'Arbuckle,' and it's the last book in a trilogy of novels loosely based on the history of my family, who homesteaded in southeastern Montana," Rowland said. "I'm also going to talk about the podcast my friend Aaron Parrett and I recently started where we discuss books from Montana, one from the past and one from the present in each episode. It's called 'Breakfast in Montana.'"
