Guy Clark headlines a music festival in July in White Sulphur Springs.

Tickets for the first annual Red Ants Pants Music Festival in White Sulphur Springs go on sale May 6, 2011. The festival will take place on the Jackson Ranches in White Sulphur Springs on July 30-31, 2011.

Confirmed artists include Jerry Jeff Walker, Rodney Crowell, Guy Clark, Carrie Rodriguez, Micky and the Motorcars, the Trishas, Martha Scanlan, Ben Bullington, Ten Feet Tall and 80 Proof and Little Jane and the Pistol Whips. Walker and Crowell will be performing with their bands.

"We still have at least one more very exciting announcement - a musical guest - that we hope to reveal very soon," said Sarah Calhoun, presenter ofthe festival and owner of Red Ants Pants. "I'm just delighted to be doing this festival in White Sulphur Springs, it's going to be a great opportunity to dance your pants off."

Tickets for the outdoor festival, which will go on rain or shine, will be available at or Weekend music passes for two full days of music are $75 for anyone 12 and older. Single day passes are $40 for anyone 12 and older. Children under 12 will be admitted free with parents. Camping passes will also be available at a rate of $10 per person 12 and older for the whole weekend.

Tickets will also be available starting May 6 at the following ticket outlets - Cactus Records in Bozeman, Conley's Books and Music in Livingston, the Chico Saloon at Chico Hot Springs, No Sweat Café in Helena, Rockin' Rudy's in Missoula and at the world headquarters of Red Ants Pants in White Sulphur Springs.

"The fun kicks off with a free street dance on Friday, July 29 with Little Jane and the Pistol Whips at 9 pm," Calhoun said. 

Profits will benefit the newly created Red Ants Pants Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of family farms and ranches, women in business, and economic development in rural areas.

The music festival is being produced by Sarah Calhoun/Red Ants Pants of White Sulphur Springs, Tom Garnsey/Vootie Productions of Bozeman, and Joanne Gardner/What's Up Buttercup of Livingston.

The website will be updated often with information on camping, additional musical guests, food and beverage options, vendor information and general festival details.
