Why you should go: Because you don't have to go to school anymore and you can go out on weeknights, so take that, high school kids.


What: Magic City Trail Trek

Where: Dutcher and Kiwanis bike trails, starting at the Public Utilities Park at 2241 Belknap Ave.

When: Sunday, August 30, 10 a.m. Registration is from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

Why you should go: Bicycling is good for you, and the day is a chance to enjoy the late-summer weather while supporting the local trail system. Oh - and did I mention the live music by Dan Page and the Barn Cats and Spur of the Moment?


Who: Ang Lee

What: His new film "Taking Woodstock''

When: It opens tonight at Shiloh 14

Why you should go: Because it's Ang Lee, you know the guy who won an Academy Award for "Brokeback Mountain'' and also directed the fabulous "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.'' This time, he's taking on the biggest concert in history- Woodstock.
