Broadway Players will stage its second production, "Dixie Swim Club" Feb. 14 to 17 in the ballroom of the Bull’n Bear Saloon, 19 Broadway Ave. N., in Red Lodge. The performances will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

According to a press release, "Dixie Swim Club" centers around five Southern women whose friendships began during their college swim team, They spend a long weekend together every August to recharge those relationships on North Carolina's Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other's lives.

The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of 33 years. As their lives unfold and the years pass, these women increasingly rely on one another, through advice and raucous repartee, to get through the challenges (men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce, aging) that life flings at them.

Directed Gena Burghoff, the cast features Lynne Turner Fitzgerald (Vernadette Simms), Marni Echols-Bell (Jeri Neal McFeeley), Pamela Irene Elver (Dinah Grayson), Karen McCampbell Kohley (Lexie Richards) and Aimee Nordlum (Sheree Hollinger). The production’s creative includes Jack Lynch (Set Design) and Lynn Lalle (Stage Manager).

Broadway Players is a collaborative theater group founded by producer and Red Lodge resident Sarah Smith, who selected this production because "it’s filled with humor and I love the emphasis the script puts on relationships and friendships between women.”
