Bozeman-based escape artist Jay Owenhouse is set to appear and disappear in Billings during two performances — at 4 and 8 p.m. — on Saturday, April 30 at Alberta Bair Theater.
His show, "Dare to Believe" has been hailed by critics as one of the Top 10 live shows in the U.S.
Owenhouse creates illusions, performs with Bengal tigers for dangerous escapes, and shares compelling stories.
Owenhouse has appeared on “Masters of Illusions” and “Magic on the Edge.” He toured China and Japan in 2008 with a show awarded “Best Touring Family Show in Asia.” Currently he is working on his new TV series and touring.
Caught by the magic bug at the age of 4, Owenhouse first performed as a freshman in high school. Since then, in the spirit of “giving it away to keep it,” he has invented magic effects and designed illusions not only for his show, but also for other magicians of world-renown.
Tickets are $69, $39 and $29 at the Alberta Bair Theater box office on the corner of Third Avenue North and North Broadway, by phone at 406-256-6052 or online at www.albertabairtheater.org.
VIP "Save The Wild Supporter" packages, available for $69, are offered as a way to help save tigers and cheetahs from extinction via RareSpeciesFund.org. They include a meet-and-greet with Owenhouse and one of his tigers (only available 45 minutes before the show), and a free souvenir program.
