In what was already an unusual combination, Larry the Cable Guy and Styx will not be sharing a bill at Rimrock Auto Arena in Billings as previously reported.
The following message was provided to purchasers of tickets in a news release from Larry The Cable Guy's management, provided by MetraPark: "Due to changes in Larry the Cable Guy's work schedule on some projects currently in development, he is no longer able to be a part of the March 23 concert with Styx."
The proudly redneck comedian from Nebraska has also backed out of shows on March 21 in Fargo and March 22 in Minot, according to promoter Jade Presents. Of the seven shows planned for this tour, the only one is moving forward as planned is in Larry's hometown of Lincoln.
Larry the Cable Guy, unlike Styx, doesn't have too much time on his hands, apparently.
Styx's performances in each city will be extended to a set that includes "more classic hits, including 'Renegade,' 'Come Sail Away,' 'Too Much Time on my Hands,' and many more," as well as songs from the newest album "The Mission."
MetraPark is offering refunds at the point of purchase, if the absence of Larry the Cable Guy "impacts your decision to attend the event."
