Billings Central Catholic High is presenting "Cabaret: A Little Night Music" with a dinner and show, Sunday Nov. 16, with shows at 1 and 5 p.m. in the Ralph Nelles Center, 3 Broadwater Ave.
The show is a fundraiser catered by Yellowstone Kelly's, featuring the talents of more than 100 Central High music students. Tickets are $35 for single tickets and $65 a couple, or $250 for a table of eight. Tickets must be purchased at the Central High main office by Nov. 12. Call the school at 245-6651 for more details.
The show is under the direction of Lisa Bollman (orchestra), Glenda Newman (band) and Teddi Smothermon (choirs).
While feasting on a three-course spread, guests will be entertained with a diverse range of musical acts celebrating this year's theme, "A Little Night Music," which combines hits from Broadway and concert stages, the silver screen and radio. This musical collage features Central's large ensembles, as well as soloists and chamber ensembles, selected by audition, performing works by Mozart, Van Morrison, John Williams, Ray Charles, Styx, Michael Bublé, Händel and Rogers and Hammerstein.
More than one-third of the Central High student body is involved in the school's music program. Ten students represented Billings Central at the October All-State Music Festival in Great Falls, and five choir members have recently been selected to participate in the ACDA National Honor Choir in Oklahoma City in March 2009.
