Pub Station co-owners Ann Kosempa and Sean Lynch stand in individual “pods” Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, which will be used to keep concert-goers socially distanced when the music venue hosts its first concert in more than a year on March 19. Pods will be assigned to groups of people in order of when they buy their tickets, and the 800-person venue will be able to host 102 concertgoers with the new layout.
Pub Station Presents begins the process of bringing live entertainment back to the Pub Station Ballroom through its “Socially Distanced Series.”
These events have a limited number of “pods” available for purchase for each event (nine pods of four people, seated at high-top tables, and 11 pods of six people standing). The shows will be following socially distanced recommendations throughout the venue as well as the event. Tickets may be purchased online and in advance only. The Pub Station’s “Socially Distanced Rules” for this series will be posted on our website under FAQs.
All events are on sale Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 at 10 a.m., and are intended for patrons age-21-plus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with shows at 7 p.m., and tickets may only be purchased online.
“We have to start somewhere and this is how we’ll be able to do it,” said Pub Station owner Sean Lynch.
The venue held its last live shows last March as the COVID-19 pandemic was just starting to sweep the state.
“It will be a slow, methodical and safe process of bringing back live shows,” Lynch said. “We want people to come and feel safe and share that with their friends who also want to see live music safely.”
