For the first time at Zier Gallery, a group of artists will bring together sculptures, paintings, prints, photographs and drawings that open the horizon on a variety of birds. The exhibit will include birds made of paper, metal, cottonwood leaves and other mediums when the “Tweetily Dee Bird Show” opens on Friday.
According to a press release, several artists have combined their skills and ideas in this fleeting exhibit. Lori Blaylock, Janice Bogy, Mia DeLode, John Hanson, Belinda Higbee, Sharon Karlson, Tess Lehman, Tracy Linder, Mary Michael, John Ohrman, Shay Reimann, Anna Buskala Turek, Sue Zier and Dana Zier each show their style and inspiration of bird art.
The public is invited to do a little bird watching and meet some of the artists at a reception from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.
Attendees are also invited to the Mad Hatter Tea Party at the gallery’s Perkatory Tea. The event, also taking place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will offer a variety of teas and coffees. The reception is free. Admission to the tea party is $10.
The show will run through May 15.
