RED LODGE — The venerable Pollard Hotel celebrates its 110th birthday this weekend, with a celebration at the hotel's pub Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m., and a three-part concert on Sunday.
The distinguished brick building, with its distinctive green awnings, has graced the main street of Red Lodge since 1893. Its many nooks and crannies provide banqueting and a variety of other dining options, places for cocktails and a series of recently renovated and upgraded rooms and suites.
The Pollard has remained a popular gathering spot and sentimental place for celebrations large and small, so the birthday party will note the hotel's constant presence in the town's tourism and development.
The two-part party begins Saturday with a thank-you party for patrons. The Pollard Pub will host live music with Remidi and Marc Anthony Roman from 6 p.m. until midnight. Food, prizes and a good time are planned to be on tap.
Then Sunday, the party moves to the Red Lodge Rodeo Grounds with classic country and rock 'n' roll.
Roman will open the show at 1:30 p.m.
