The Yellowstone Art Museum recently announced plans for the upcoming Yellowstone Art Auction 51.

The 2019 YAA51 on March 9 will feature works by major artists including Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Alexander Calder, Kevin Red Star, Ted Waddell, Ira Reines, Larry Pirnie, Michel Desroches, Ben Pease, Neltje, Rudy Autio and Bruce Helander.

The 2019 auction will offer three events in conjunction with the annual auction, according to a news release from the YAM. Festivities will kick off on Jan. 25, with a Cocktails & Quick Finish event and a special one-night-only silent auction. The evening will feature 10 quick-draw artists, a one-night-only silent auction of approximately 40 works, entertainment and hors d’oeuvres.

It will be the public’s first opportunity to view all of the live and silent auction works, as well as bid on quick-finish works by well-known artists such as Sonja Caywood, Mike Caskey, Louis Habeck and many more.

The event will also include an additional silent auction of 40 works to be sold one night only. This is the first event of its kind at the YAM, and it offers a rare opportunity to take home works by Russell Chatham, Pat Smith, Rebecca Weed, Robin Earles and others.

The opening night is also the first chance for art enthusiasts to take advantage of the buy-it-now option during the silent auction and to preview the pieces in this year’s live auction.

Tickets may be purchased individually or bundled with YAM’s March 8 and March 9 auction events.

The museum will also host an artists’ reception on Friday, March 8, giving ticket-holding patrons the opportunity to meet the artists and buy it now in the silent auction before the big night.
