Easter brunch illustration

Easter brunch is as big a tradition for many families as lilies and colored eggs. Several Billings restaurants are hosting brunch on Easter Sunday. Reservations are advised.

The least expensive Easter buffet we found is at Montana Jacks, 520 Hansen Lane in the Heights, where they are serving a buffet brunch from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $13.99 for adults and $11.99 for seniors. Kids 5-10 are $6.99 and children under 4 are free with an adult purchase.

On the menu is an omelet station, carved ham and turkey, chicken-fried steak, biscuits and gravy, cheesy hash brown casserole, soup and salad bar, lemon blueberry pancakes, and pastries and desserts.

The McCormick Cafe and Cafe Italia are hosting Easter Brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Adults are $16.95, children 6 to 10 are $9.99 and kids 5 and under are free.

On the menu is broiled salmon, pork tenderloin, ham, biscuits and gravy, and specialty pancakes and desserts. Call 869-9700 for reservations.

Benson’s Restaurant, 404 N. 30th St., is serving Easter brunch from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Adults are $20.

On the menu are huckleberry crepes, lobster eggs Benedict, jumbo shrimp cocktail, mango-glazed ham, buttermilk mashed potatoes, cheesy scrambled eggs, local lamb, beef tenderloin, and ratatouille. For reservations, call 545-4041.

The Northern Hotel, First Avenue and North Broadway, is also serving an Easter brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. They were full with reservations earlier in the week, but Jolene Olson, administrative coordinator, said you can check with her at 867-6767, to see if there are cancellations. Prices are $38 for adults, $34 for seniors, $19 for children 12 and under. Youths 5 and under are free.

The Holiday Inn Grand Hotel, 5500 Midland Road, offers an Easter brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The price is $22.95 for adults, $19.95 for seniors, $13.95 for children 6 to 10 and children under 5 are free.

The buffet includes a salad station, with such items as Caesar salad and marinated mushroom salad; hot entrees including  chirizo links, peppered ham, lemon pepper asparagus, and lemon pepper salmon; an omelet bar; kids corner with items like watermelon and mac and cheese; and sweets including pancakes, French toast, tortes, and cheesecake. Reservations are advised, but not necessary. Call 248-7701.
