Rimrock Opera presents its ninth annual Auction of Arias, “Opera on the Avenue,” on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. at McCormick’s Café.
Sopranos Amy Logan and Carolyn Coefield, mezzo sopranos Michelle Berger and Mary Elizabeth Ryan, tenor Jeffrey Grant Kitto, bass baritones Doug Nagel and William Mouat, accompanied by Sandi Rabas, will offer a menu of favorite opera and Broadway showstoppers for bid. Guests meet and mingle with the opera artists over select wines and desserts in this intimate setting. Bid for your choice of arias by your favorite singer and enjoy a program of the winning selections.
Also on auction is a gourmet dinner with wine pairings for a private party of 12 at Café Italia. Rimrock Opera will not present a fall opera this year in order to concentrate resources on its spectacular spring production.
This fall fundraiser for Rimrock Opera Company will help produce Verdi’s “Aïda,” the “grandest of grand operas” in April 2013. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Auction seating is limited. Call 671-2214 for your reservation.
