Newsboys bring their high-energy blend of music and worship to the Babcock Theatre on Thursday.

Grammy-nominated Christian music group the Newsboys are playing the Babcock Theatre on March 7 as part of their spring 2013 “God’s Not Dead Tour.”

The show starts at 7 p.m. The new tour — one of the most in-demand nights of worship, praise and celebration — also includes opening acts Building 429, All Things New and Campbell.

Frontman Michael Tait and his bandmates who’ve played together for two decades — Jeff Frankenstein on keyboards, Duncan Phillips on drums and Jody Davis on guitars — recorded some of the most modern worship anthems for the Newsboys’ most recent CD, "God’s Not Dead," which was released in November 2011. The title track topped Christian music charts for for seven straight weeks.
