2017 MusiCares Person of the Year - Show

Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters performs in February at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Foo Fighters will play in Billings on Dec. 9 and in Casper, Wyo., on Dec. 10.

With more than 8,000 fans expected at the Foo Fighters concert Dec. 9 at MetraPark's Rimrock Auto Arena, officials have opened up more premium parking.

MetraPark's Pavilion Parking lot will be available as a paid lot for the concert. That provides more convenient parking. The price is $10 per car. Parking permits are available at the  MetraPark box office, online at metrapark.com or by phone at 256-2400. Extra fees are assessed for online and phone purchase.

The VIP lot across the street from Rimrock Auto Arena is also included as a premium parking location. The upper parking lot and carnival lots at MetraPark will be no-charge locations.

There will be temporary closures of roadways in and around MetraPark as the Foo Fighters play at Rimrock Auto Arena.

MetraPark General Manager Bill Dutcher said the arena has worked with law enforcement from city of Billings, Yellowstone County Sheriffs Department, Montana Department of Transportation, Billings Street Department, and Montana Highway Patrol to help move traffic in and out of the facility. The new high-traffic plan first was used during the Garth Brooks' concerts earlier this year.

"We will temporarily close the ramp from Main Street onto east bound Bench Boulevard for a short time after the concert. Also, west bound Bench Boulevard will be closed at Airport Road when the show ends, " Dutcher said. "Public transit, like taxis or Uber, will be delayed as the concert releases to allow the parking lots to clear."

Gate 2, which exits onto Highway 87 south of the facility, will be open to exit people from the carnival lot. Right turn only rules will be in effect for this exit.

Check MetraPark.com for the latest show-specific parking and traffic information.

Limited tickets are available to the Foo Fighters show at the MetraPark box office.
