The long-running tribute show and full concert experience, “Queen — It’s A Kinda Magic” will play Alberta Bair Theater at 7.30 p.m. on July 29 as part of its USA 2014 Tour.

Tickets are on sale at the ABT box office, 256-6052.

The show recreates Queen’s 1986 World Tour concert, featuring more than 20 of the band’s greatest hits such as “We Will Rock You,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Are the Champions” and “Fat-Bottomed Girls.”

Careful detail has been paid to the music, including trying to match the iconic voice of Freddie Mercury.

The show has attracted the attention, endorsement and eventual involvement of Peter Freestone, Mercury’s former personal assistant and biographer.

After reviewing the show while in Singapore in 2007, Freestone contacted promoter John Van Grinsven with his compliments. A friendship ensued.

For the upcoming world tour, the role of Mercury has been taken on by Canadian performer and multi-instrumentalist Giles Taylor. Taylor’s career has included world travel for the past 13 years, performing with artists like Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) and The Moody Blues.

Taylor will be joined by Richie Baker as Brian May on guitar, James Childs as John Deacon on bass and Kyle Thompson as Roger Taylor on drums.
