Vintage Trouble, a soul-rock band from Hollywood, Calif., has been added to the Magic City Blues Festival lineup.
The four-piece band will play the Budweiser Stage on Friday night, Aug. 9. They are also booked to play two big U.S. music festivals, SXSW and the Coachella Festival, and they are opening for The Who on a European tour.
Together since 2010, Vintage Trouble has one CD out, “The Bomb Sessions.” Band members were involved in other projects before coming together to perform shows just two weeks after they began rehearsals.

Vocalist Ty Taylor is joined by guitarist Nalle Colt, bassist Rick Barrio Dill and drummer Richard Danielson.
Also booked for the Magic City Blues Festival on Aug. 8-11 are The Steve Miller Band and Matt Andersen for the Aug. 10 show. Magic City Blues promoter Tim Goodridge said in putting together acts for the 12th annual Magic City Blues he went after big name headliners but also worked to catch a band like Vintage Trouble, who are on their way up.
“We want to be taste-makers,” Goodridge said. “It’s Magic City Blues so you know you can go there for great music and probably turn into fans for the rest of your life.”
