There’s no mistaking the devotion the members of the Billings Kiss tribute band Strangeways have for their favorite band.
There’s the make-up, the elaborate costumes, the Marshall stacks, the blinking KISS sign on stage.
And, sure, there’s a little bit of adult men playing dress-up to the whole thing. But, these guys have the chops, with a terrific drummer who’s part Peter Criss and part Tasmanian Devil.
They’re also getting better and better with each live show, including a recent show during the Sturgis motorcycle rally and regular shows at the Pub Station. And, it’s not all about the hits. These guys aren’t afraid to go deep in the Kiss songbook.
If you don’t like what you hear, you’ll at least like what you see. The boys are clearly having a blast.
On Saturday at the Pub Station, Strangeways joins Kicking Karma for what they’re calling The Clash of the Titans: Monsters of Rock. The age-21-plus show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $10 at the door.
