    During the Warner Bros. Discovery upfront presentation on Wednesday, chairman and chief content officer Kathleen Finch announced that the actress/singer has signed up to present a "celebration-focused series" that will launch just before the holidays later in the year.

    Movie critic Bruce Miller says “Book Club: The Next Chapter” is really just a string of one-liners. The plot is non-existent, it’s just a ruse to get four stars together for a bachelorette party in Italy.

    Pat McAfee’s show is moving to ESPN as part of a new multiyear deal. McAfee first joined ESPN as a college football analyst for its Thursday night games in 2019. He returned to the network last year and became part of the “College GameDay” crew as well as hosting some alternate presentations of ESPN games, including the CFP National Championship. That will continue, but it is McAfee’s show that has created the most buzz. ESPN also announced a documentary series on Serena Williams and four major matchups for the upcoming college football season.

    Jacklyn Zeman, who for 45 years played nurse Bobbie Spencer on ABC's ‘General Hospital," has died at age 70. Her family confirmed the news Wednesday and says she died after a short battle with cancer. Zeman earned four Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her portrayal of Bobbie. The character projected a big heart and bubbly personality but was not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself and others. Zeman also had a role on the crime drama “The Bay,” for which she earned a fourth Daytime Emmy nod. She is survived by two daughters.


    Glenn Close, Lizzy Caplan says, saw Alex Forrest as someone struggling with mental illness. “She was asking those questions. If you re-watch it knowing all that work that has been put into it, you see just how layered the performance is.”
