Priscilla and Larry Cunningham celebrated their 50th anniversary with a gathering of family and friends at Yellowstone Alliance Adventure Camp, at Cottonwood Canyon in Bozeman, a church camp they have attended for 45 years.
Priscilla Lee Schreck and Larry Cunningham were married Aug. 11, 1967, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Billings.
Growing up, they attended the same church, and fell in love after attending a New Christy Minstrels concert as teenagers. They graduated with English degrees from Eastern Montana College and master’s degrees from Texas Tech University.
She taught school at Huntley Project and Montana State University Billings and was academic dean at Yellowstone Baptist College.
He taught for St. Labre Indian Schools in Pryor and was eventually an administrator. He still works part time at St. Labre, in planned giving.
They have also taught Sunday school and Awana, participated in mission trips and remain active at their church.
Their children and spouses are Alexandra and Russ Nave, of York, Pennsylvania; Laura Cunningham and Michael Sweeney, of Helena; and Seth and Krista Cunningham, of Billings.
They have eight grandchildren.
